MOCLIPS, Wash. -- It's taken three years, but the Ocean Crest Resort's restaurant is back open.
"We never did dwell on the fire," said resort owner, Barbara Matson.
The center building of the resort was destroyed by an accidental electrical fire in June 2011.
Matson, whose parents opened the business in 1953, said the family started making plans to reopen the day of the fire.
"We cross our bridges when we come to them, we just persevere and figure out how to make it work," said Matson.
It's always been a family run business.
Matson's son, Jess Owen, is the Assistant General Manager.
Owen's son, James Taylor, works in the kitchen.
Owen said the family rebuilt and reopened for the family's sake, and the community's.
"The support we got after the fire," said Owen, "It was nice to know people felt the same for us as we felt for them."
