Get out and enjoy these sunny days while you can because the long stretch of dry weather is about to come to an end.

On Sunday we tied the record high for the date at Sea-Tac at 75 degrees. The old record occurred in 1951 and 2000.

KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott says for the beginning of the week we’ll see fog and low clouds in the mornings but the afternoons will remain mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s.

But on Thursday our long lived ridge of high pressure will weaken and begin to move east, allowing a front to begin spreading clouds into the state later in the day. Highs will be in the low- to mid-60s, Marriott said. Get the Futurecast

On Friday, we’ll see an increasing chance of rain during the day. Highs will be mostly in the low 60s.

A cold front will move through on Saturday, followed by showers. A second front will move in on Sunday for increasingly steady rain once again.

“Both of these systems will finally wet down Western Washington,” said Marriott.

Highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

“It looks like a series of fronts will move through the state next week for a return to more normal October weather with rain at times,” said Marriott.
