EVERETT, Wash. - Everett police say a home invasion robbery turned into a shootout.

Police say at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 600 block of 93rd Street SW for a report of a man being shot.

When they arrived they found a 23-year-old man inside the home.

The victim said a man had broken into his house and shot him. He said he was able to get his gun and return fire.

The suspect fled on foot and was found by a K-9 in bushes across the street.

The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

The victim was not seriously hurt.

You really should get your facts straight before you make a comment like that about someone's son, brother, nephew or otherwise. It seems a little strange that both the alleged victim and the alleged intruder are 23 years old and the only story the police have is from the one with minor wounds. You certainly can't believe what you read or hear on the news because that is one-sided as well.

Great job for being able to stop him even though you were injured yourself. I'm glad the victim is OK. I don't care if the suspect has life-threatening injuries. Serves him right. Just goes to show that you should not be breaking into someone's home. You never knw if they will have a gun to shoot you or not. Idiot criminals!

This shooting spree at each other is just rediculous....When are we gonna learn that hurting another isnt going to solve anything. All you do is hurt each other and create more hate...Does it really matter who is tougher than the other? Find other things to do with your life, like read a book
