GRANITE FALLS, Wash. -  A 22-year-old Arlington man was critically injured, including burns, when the car he was driving crashed early Friday near Granite Falls.

The Snohomish County sheriff's office says he's been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Four teenage passengers in the car were taken to a local hospital and are expected to recover. The two girls and two boys are from the Lake Stevens and Edmonds areas.

The sheriff's office says the car when speeding when the driver lost control, crashed into a tree and caught fire.

Sad to hear.. but dede1978... I wouldn't say it's speed that kills.. it's not knowing how to handle the car at high speed. If the driver was in complete control of the car, it wouldn't have been a problem. I can drive at high speeds.. and I'm still alive.. because I know how to handle my car.

How many time do we have to remind peolpe..... SPEED KILLS!!!! I do hope they all recover from their injuries.
