SEATTLE – A Washington State Patrol trooper Tased a man who was resisting arrest after flipping his Land Rover on an Interstate 5 onramp in Seattle early Monday.
A trooper saw the Land Rover being driven recklessly and at high speed around 12:30 a.m. coming from Spokane Street to northbound I-5, said WSP spokesperson Julie Startup. The driver was chased by a trooper who eventually lost sight of him at Olive Street.
The trooper later spotted the Land Rover rolled over at the top of the Olive Street ramp. The driver had apparently tried to get back on I-5 but rolled at the top of the ramp.
The driver was resisting arrest, said Startup, so the trooper Tased him. He was booked for investigation of DUI and felony eluding,
The driver suffered minor injuries. Nobody else was hurt.
