TACOMA, Wash. – Video found on a cell phone donated to Goodwill has led to charges against a man for child rape and exploitation.

Pierce County Prosecutors believe Michael Robert Comte shot pictures and video of himself molesting a 3-year-old girl on his cell phone, then donated that phone to a Tacoma Goodwill store.

In probable cause documents, prosecutors say a Goodwill employee took the phone for personal use and discovered the photos and video.

Police were eventually able to track down the child. The girl's mother told police that Comte and his girlfriend babysat the child one night.

Comte was arrested and was due in court for arraignment Friday afternoon.
