King County Sheriffs deputies responded late Tuesday afternoon to a fatal shooting in the 14000 block of 8th Ave. S. in Burien.
A man driving a cab had just dropped off a 14-year-old girl at her home when another man approached and shot the driver multiple times in the chest, King County Sheriff Steve Strachan said.
According to Strachan, the shooter was the father of the girl. The suspect turned himself in at the Burien Police Department soon after the shooting.
Strachan said the shooting appeared to be an act of domestic violence. The victim knew the suspect and the shooting was witnessed by the shooter's 16-year-old son.
The home where the incident occurred is where the two teenagers live with their mother, who is the ex-wife of the shooter.
The victim was shot while sitting in the car. He was dead by the time police responded.
Strachan said two people are in custody -- the shooter, and another person who was in the shooter's car when he turned himself in. It is not known if the other person was present when the shooting occurred.
King County Sheriff deputies are continuing to investigate.
