A local man in the Coast Guard who packed up to move across the country, woke up to find it all stolen.
Paul Irwin is moving to Saint Louis. On Monday night he packed up all his belongings into a 20-foot U-Haul truck, and attached his car to the back.
He drove it over to a friend's house in West Seattle. When he woke up Tuesday, it was all missing.
The car was found two miles away, but the truck and all his belongings were stolen.
"Everything. I had everything in the truck,” he said. “Everything I own, family heirlooms, guitars, all my furniture, everything I own, all my clothes, where it leaves me? I have three pairs of clothes. Luckily I still have my car and the Coast Guard is helping me out with my move and my situation."
