CENTRALIA, Wash. -- Centralia police arrested a man suspected for several burglaries Sunday after he allegedly left his dog at one of the crime scenes.
Officers were responding to several burglaries throughout the day when they spotted a pit bull left at one of the crime scenes. An investigating officer recognized the pit bull. Officers had seen it with a 19-year-old man earlier in the day. The dog had a rope around its neck that made it distinct enough to recognize it.
The suspect was located and arrested at a residence in Centralia. Officers recovered some of the stolen items.
The suspect is booked into the Lewis County Jail on charges of Residential Burglary.
