Police have recovered the white Jetta stolen after a young woman was attacked and raped at knife point in her Thurston County home Friday night.

Police say the car will be processed for evidence. No arrests have been made

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call 911.

At about 10:12 pm Friday, a 23-year old woman was alone her home in the 8200 block of Union Mills Rd SE when her dog began to bark incessantly.

When the victim went to let her dog out of the back door, she was confronted by a knife wielding male suspect. The suspect forced his way into the victim's residence and sexually assaulted the victim.

The suspect took all of the cash the victim had and then stole her car.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t think the attack was random.

“This may be some sort of stalking case. Our victim doesn’t know who this person is but we think the suspect knows who she is,” said Lt. Greg Elwin, a spokesman.
