BONNEY LAKE, Wash. – A teenage boy is in the hospital after nearly drowning in Lake Tapps Thursday afternoon.
Police received a 911 call at 3:18 p.m. from Bonney Lake.
Bonney Lake Police Lt. Kurt Alfano said the victim was a 16-year-old male. He was under the water 3-5 minutes before witnessed spotted him and pulled him out of the water. They immediately began CPR and managed to get a pulse until medics arrived and transported him to a hospital.
Alfano said the incident appeared accidental. The condition of the victim is unknown.
