SEATTLE -  Commuters on the Bremerton-Seattle ferry route might see longer waits this week.

The Ferries Division says the Kitsap will be out of service through the weekend to repair a cracked hull. It was discovered during an inspection, leaving only one ferry for the Tuesday morning commute.

To help out, the Ferries Division is bringing in the 90-car Sealth, starting with the 4:20 p.m. Tuesday sailing from Seattle.

The 34-car Hiyu, which has been on standby at the Eagle Harbor maintenance facility, will replace the Sealth on the Point Defiance-Tahlequah route.

Just the Ferry Services way of "Getting Even" with Us for complaining about Their High Wages. If This doesn't work, Next comes Water Boarding!

Note to Transportation Secretary Paula Hammond: I'm concerned about the integrity of the ferry hulls in the entire Issaquah class, they were built in the 80's afterall. In light of the recent Toyota issues, I think you should pull the entire Issaquah class out of service and have them all inspected, our children deserve to be safe!
