A 10-year-old boy died Sunday after being pulled from the Stillaguamish River.

Witnesses said the boy had been swimming at Twin Rivers Park and was swept away. He was pulled from the water after being under water for about an hour.

He was found after being spotted by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office helicopter.

The Sheriff's Office said the boy was not wearing a life jacket.
