A Bothell woman was taken into custody after her elderly mother was found suffering from “severe traumatic injuries,” and later died, police said Saturday.
Police say at about 5 a.m. Saturday, a 911 call was placed by the 42-year-old woman, who lives in a mobile home in the 3300 block of 228th Street SE in the City of Bothell.
The woman requested medical assistance and patrol officers responded. Officers found the woman outside her front door.
Police say due to some concerning statements and behaviors, the officers determined they needed to check the welfare of anyone who was inside the residence.
Officers found the woman's 80-year old mother inside. Medics and Aid responded to treat the woman; but she died at the scene.
The daughter was taken into custody and detectives were in the process of obtaining a search warrant to investigate and process the scene.
