CHICAGO -- Air New Zealand has ordered two more Boeing 787s, boosting the airline's order book for those planes to 10.

Air New Zealand's other eight orders are for the 787-9, a larger variant of the plane. Boeing didn't specify which version it sold to the airline for the new orders.

List prices on the 787-9 are $227.8 million each.

Boeing delivered the first 787 last fall. Its promised fuel efficiency has made it popular with airlines, who have ordered more than 800.

Also Thursday, Boeing said it had lost orders for two 737s. It didn't say who had ordered those planes.

Shares of Boeing Co, based in Chicago, fell $1.08 to $73.24 on Thursday as part of a broader-market decline.
