Body found in water at Gig Harbor

GIG HARBOR, Wash. – The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a body washed up in Gig Harbor on Saturday morning.

Spokesman Ed Troyer said a woman who lives in the 7900 block of Goodman Drive called police after seeing the body in the water at about 11 a.m.

"We don't know who he is but it appears to be a male, around 60 years old, balding, wearing a black jacket with blue jeans," said Troyer.

Troyer said they don't believe the man had been in the water for more than a couple of days.
