A body was found near a burned out vehicle in a wooded area of Monroe on Saturday.
The Snhomish County Sheriff’s Office says at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstances incident in the 7300 block of Woods Creek Road.
A citizen had called 911 to report finding a burned-out vehicle on private property, backed into some trees, with a deceased person found outside the vehicle.
It’s not known if there is a connection between the vehicle and the property it was located on.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
