The familiar summertime roar of the Blue Angels will be back in Seattle in 2014. Seafair announced that the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron will perform their acrobat air show in August.

Government budget cuts and the sequester grounded the Blue Angels last year, which may have played a role in Seafair's low attendance.

You may hear the sound of the Blue Angels in the skies over Seattle as Jet No. 7 visits the Northwest for the annual winter planning meetings. The meetings between the Blue Angels, Seafair and air show officials will lay the foundation for the performance in August.

The Boeing Seafair Air Show will take place Aug. 1 through Aug. 3
