EVERETT, Wash. -  The 15-year-old girl whose beating in Seattle's bus tunnel was widely seen on video is facing robbery charges in a separate case in Everett.

Aisha Steward-Baker was expected to plead guilty Monday but surprised prosecutors by asking to go to trial instead.

She and another girl are accused of beating a woman and stealing her purse last May in Edmonds.

Her trial is set for May 11, and if convicted Steward-Baker faces a longer term in juvenile detention than the three-to-nine months she would have faced if she pleaded guilty.

In January Steward-Baker was attacked by several people in the Seattle bus tunnel as security guards watched.

This shows the intelligence (or I should say Lack of it) peeking through! Take it to trial - - good move, easy conviction. The gal who got jumped saw both of these gangster girls. Makes one wonder what this ganster girl did to provoke the whomping she got down in the tunnel, we all know she provoked that kind of hurt! Heres to her getting the maximum sentence for what she did to the gal in Edmonds and she might as well forget getting any $$$ out of the tunnel fiasco! Simple - Bad = Jail = broke.

I am laughing inside that she is taking it to trial... does she really think that people feel sorry for her now that she got jumped and that a jury will acquit her? LOL she must not read King5 commentary...

Poor little dear, I wonder if her Mom thinks that the bus tunnel incident is still going to be their cash cow? I hope the judge throws the book at this piece of trash.

Let the little 15 yo gangster stand on a street corner in Seattle naked with a sign around her neck that says "I steal". Maybe that will change her attitude.

She only robbed and attacked this lady because the victim was white.

Guilty or not, she got her behind KICKED in that bus tunnel. FoSho! Usually people have a very good reason for opening up an extra large can of A__ Whoop. Ya feel me? I mean, people don't usually stomp you in the head for no reason whatsoever. Long story short... YOU GOT SERVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
