The former head of a state-funded EMS Management Organization is being accused of stealing more than $300,000.

A new state audit claims Anice Grant wrote extra paychecks and received other unapproved income while she ran the Northwest Region EMS Council.

She was fired in 2010.

According to the audit, Grant's actions are being investigated by local and federal authorities.

Grant did not return our calls for comment.
