SKOKOMISH RESERVATION, Wash. - Mason County Sheriff's investigators are searching for the person who  used gasoline to set fire to the Skokomish tribal police station early Thursday morning.

Two men helped keep damage to the building to a minimum said a Mason County sheriff's office spokesperson.

"It freaked me out," said Ricky Miller, who was on his way to a hunting trip with a friend when they saw flames near the police station.

Miller called 911 and put the fire out with an extinguisher he had in his truck.

Surveillance cameras captured images of a man dressed in a hoody and blue jeans, said investigators.

Miller said he hopes the person who set the fire is caught soon.

"Anybody who would do that in my book is a coward," said Miller.

quotient, it is very sad that you feel the way that you do about the Native American people, let me remind you that they were the first people to inhibit this land and were ravaged and raped of everything and now you are complaining about the little bit that they retain, referring to it as "treaty giveaways"...when it was really "treaty take-aways!"...you see the Native American's were not given anything, it was what they were allowed to keep and that sadly is what you are crying about...you will not be happy until you have taken away and destroyed it all! For you, I feel pity in the way you were raised to think or how you were taught to believe...you need to learn the real history of the United States of America my friend!

(("It freaked me out," said Ricky Miller, who was on his way to a hunting trip with a friend when they saw flames near the police station.))Had to check the state regs, but what Hunting season is open now anyway. Oh yeah, INDIAN HUNTING SEASONS, which mean go anywhere, shoot anything, cut 2 steaks and the horns off and leave the rest to rot. No wonder some nut went over the edge and comitted an arson. A Consevative, Republican Gov't in charge will re do these treaty give aways. And I hope they invesutugate weater a tribe member set the fire to generate more hatred towards non indians in the course of thier investigation. To many people jump to conclusions.
