TACOMA, Wash. -- Tacoma's newest museum may be months from opening, but some of the featured exhibits are already on display.

The LeMay America's Car Museum opens June 2, but 200 cars have been parked inside the structure since late last year.

"If you come and see the cars lined up chronologically from 1900 to 2010, you're going to get bored," said museum president David Madeira.

Madeira said the museum won't open to the public until the theater, interactive children's area and driving simulator are complete.

The museum will feature revolving exhibits of 400 cars throughout 15 galleries in the four-story building.

Cars from the record LeMay family collection will always be displayed in the museum, but exhibits will feature cars from around the world, said Madeira.

The museum is just south of the Tacoma Dome.

Did Paul Allen have anything to do with the design of that building?

A beautiful collection in such an ugly building. What a shame. This could and should have been a great building, but instead they wasted an opportunity and instead, designed a stupid looking shell. No form, no shape, just.....blah.
