KIRKLAND, Wash. - Life in the fast lane got expensive for former American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar.
He received a $411 ticket for speeding on the Eastside.
The Washington State Patrol says Malakar drove 110 miles per hour on Interstate 405 in Kirkland early Tuesday morning – 50 mph over the speed limit.
No other cars were around, so Malakar was not arrested for reckless endangerment.
Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the case.
