SEATTLE -- Scores of Amazonians descending on the Seattle Center Tuesday have the potential to tie up the morning and afternoon commute.

Well, it's actually more than a few scores. It's estimated about 1,800 Amazon employees will be at KeyArena for a massive meeting from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The good news is Amazon will use charter buses to transport all those employees, but still expect traffic impacts around the I-5 Mercer ramp and on streets around KeyArena, such as First Avenue, Republican and Thomas.

Busiest times are anticipated to be between 8 and 9 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.

The last time Amazon held a huge meeting like this was in March, when 7,000 Amazon.com employees met at KeyArena all day.

The "Get Motivated" seminar in June, attended by 18,000 people at KeyArena, brought the commute to a grinding halt.
