MERCER ISLAND, Wash. - A vehicle traveling the wrong way in the eastbound Interstate 90 express lanes struck a Sound Transit bus head-on at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
The driver of the vehicle – a Ford pickup – fled the scene, but was apprehended by Bellevue Police shortly after.
The driver of the bus was taken to an area hospital after getting glass in his eyes. No other injuries have been reported.
The collision closed all of the express lanes and traffic was backed up to about mid-span of the floating bridge.
