SEATTLE – A car accident caused a chunk of concrete to fall of the Alaskan Way Viaduct Tuesday afternoon.

Police say an accident in the northbound lanes on the upper level of the viaduct caused a car to hit the side rail, sending concrete to the ground below.

Witnesses say about two buckets full of concrete hit the ground.

Nobody was hurt.

One northbound lane will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for repairs.

That viaduct has been on the verge of collapse for some time. Its only a matter of time. I pray that nobody I know is driving on it when it finally does.
