No sign of missing WA mother; son drowned

SEATTLE (AP) — Another day of searching has yielded no news in the hunt for a missing Washington mother. Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said Friday afternoon that a search plane was sent up to look for Shantina Smiley in the general area where her 8-year-old son's body was found on Thursday.

The Pierce County medical examiner's office says Azriel Carver drowned and his death was an accident.

The boy's body was found on a Fox Island beach southwest of Tacoma. He and his mother were last seen on Saturday, and her minivan was found partially submerged on a remote south Puget Sound beach the next day.

Where is she!!! Nothing about this story is adding up. From looking at the video tapes of her asking for directions at different stores makes this story like an episode of the Twilight Zone. This story is totally unreal. Something is just not adding up.

I've seen this story before where the drunken driver drives right down/ off a boat ramp or dock, and drowns everybody. It happens a few times a year. Same as the wrong way driver on the freeway...."Black-out" drinker has no idea what is really going on.
