MOSES LAKE, Wash. - A 16-year-old boy was killed at around 3 a.m. Sunday in a shooting at a home near the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Turnkey Rd. NE, according to Grant County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was announced dead at the scene, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Officials at Grant County Sheriff’s Department said detectives were on scene Sunday morning interviewing witnesses. They said evidence suggested the shooting was targeted and not random.
Deputies waited for family members to confirm the victim’s identity before releasing his name. They said an autopsy was scheduled for late Sunday afternoon.
As of 7:00 a.m. there was no suspect in custody. Sheriff’s deputies asked anyone with information to call Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 509-762-1160.
