PORTLAND – A massive crane collapsed at terminal four at the Port of Portland Saturday morning, said Lt. Joseph Troncoso with the Portland Fire Bureau said.
No one was injured in the collapse, but workers who initially called 9-1-1 were concerned that 10 to 20 people may have been trapped or injured.
The crane collapsed on it's side just after 9 a.m. when crews were in the process of dismantling it. Workers reportedly heard a popping sound and got everyone out of the area.
Everyone has been accounted for, Troncoso said.
