I may not agree with our judicial system but i have a respect for our country as a whole. I served my time and retired out as a petty officer 1st class thank you very much... i know it hurts you heart that you really can only try to judge me based on my grammatical errors becuase you had no valid come back in our debate and that is ok. These children, labled for life by the state as "sex offenders," be it of level 1, 2, or 3 status cannot receive/have a horrendous time finding LEGAL gainful employment as well as housing because every land lord they can afford (ie. low income federally funded housing developments) has a strict no-sex-offender-of-any-level policy. -help. And if you decide in your little minds that they're "Beyond help" then you'd get fired. Plain and simple. Because you're not there to pass judgement- you're there to HELP and REHABILITATE these CHILDREN so that they can be productive members of society. And furthermore, beyond budgeting, I think this is why the state opted to close Maple Lane. I have several friends/acquaintances that work there and I am disappointed to see it closed, because the main idea is great, but it's not effective anymore because several counselors are biased AND society has decided to reject these children on a permanant basis anyway so why bother with the money? See R.C.W. 13.40.127 ---- Sex offenders who were "convicted" as juveniles cannot, under any circumstances, get their record expunged, sealed, or otherwise lifted. They can seek a pardon for the Governor, but that is solely up to her discression not the law... and would be somewhat contradictory seeing how many sex offender laws she passed

I've found that they're the types that, unless they tell you, you would never know because they seem ordinarily, cordial, friendly and even polite individuals. The people I know are even hard working individuals who have had to endeavor as best they could to "make do" on wages that were either under the table or minimum because the vast majority of jobs these days do not permit felons [or sex offenders] to work for them. Did you know it's perfectly legal for all companies and agencies, even those that do not even encounter the public in any way shape or form, to have a no-tolerance policy for sex offenders or for felonies? The Judicial system is not corrupt, the politicians and lobbyists who make the blind laws are. The Judges are all intelligent. Hell, most of the Public Defenders are intelligent, to some extent. Do you know the specifics of Mr. Wades case? When was he charged? When did the actual offense take place? Perhaps, the offence happened when he was 14, on a 12yo. Yeah boohoo to small % of the exceptions to the rule: the poor 13 y.o. playing doctor with a 7 y.o. or the poor 13 y.o. who stuck his hand down the pants of a 9 y.o.girl on the playground because another kid dared him to do it....yeah ok, I admit these are somewhat lesser crimes than say kidnapping and violent rape but even those 'exceptions' to the rule are red-flag behaviors that we've all known since about age 5 or 6 are not ok to do to someone else. As for the 17 y.o. dating a 15 y.o, yeah, ok, sure the law is in the books and Im sure on occasion a prosecution happens in a purely innocent situation where they're both consenting and "in love", where nothing wrong except the age, and it is in no way 'rape', but I would guess most prosecutions are for them 27 or 35 y.o. Einsteins who want to date a 14 or 15 y.o.

Believe it or not, MrAnon, Washington State law protects people married to children if their parents endorse the marriage. I, personally, think nobody should be able to be married before they are legally an adult... it's a huge choice even IF their parents okay it.

You do not know what Wade's alleged crime was... it's quite possible it could've been something as a juvenile such as he was the "seventeen year old that dated the fifteen year old" or [god forbid] could've been one of the countless participants in sexting that get labeled for life as "sex offenders." You don't know his level and you don't know what happened... not all sex offenders are created equally- in this state particularly. Any and every young man has the capacity to be labeled a level one if he gets caught exploring his sexuality. And I say that as a female that was once of your opinion. What his charges were, stabbing hims a bit extreme but I can rationally understand the protectionism that people face today with there children, now what if that guy took a kid, or your kid, I can understand the desire to expel him from our mist to ensure the safty of our children, bottom line is, once you've committed a sex crime against a child your life seems to become forfit, you are the lowest of the low and you deserve the exposure and the distain of our society, we have been seen to many of our children taken from our streets and too few caught to explain the numbers, people learn from the teachings of those who commit the most grusume crimes and now society reacts with justice of its own, time tested and god approved.
