SEATAC, Wash. - Ukrainian orphans arrived at Sea-Tac airport Thursday night to meet their host families.

Marina’s Kids, a non-profit organization, arranged for more than 50 kids to spend several weeks in the United States over the Summer.

Nineteen orphans from Ukraine will be in Western Washington for six weeks. Their ages range from 6 to 16. Host families signed up through Marina Kids.

Todd and Tammy Wilson were introduced to the idea through their church.

"We watched the video showing all the different kids, and of course I cried because that is just where my heart is," said Tammy.

It costs about $3000 just to get the child from Ukraine to Sea-Tac. The Wilson family came up with the money, and will welcome a 13-year-old boy into their Tacoma area home.

"Just to show him that he is loved, just to give him the opportunity to experience a loving family," said Todd.

Their eldest son Trent said he is looking forward to it.

"I am really excited," said Trent. "I am going to have a new little brother for awhile. It is going to be cool."
