Authorities in Douglas County have delivered a Level 1 evacuation notice to a home near a fire burning west of Bridgeport.
A deputy at the scene reported Wednesday afternoon the fire was 100 acres large and burning across the river from the city of Pateros. By 7 p.m. the fire had grown to 700 acres.
So far, no property damage or injuries have been reported.
Firefighters from Douglas, Chelan and Okanogan counties were on the scene, and the sheriff’s office has dispatched its mobile command post to assist in operations.
