SEATTLE -- One person is dead after a collision on State Route 527 in Bothell Thursday morning.
The two-car crash happened just after 7 a.m. on SR 527, also known as the Bothell-Everett Highway, just north of SR 524 at Thrasher's Corner .
The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to flip over; the other vehicle also sustained considerable damage.
One of the drivers of the cars was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The extent of that person's injuries was unknown.
All northbound lanes of SR 527 were blocked for about 3 hours while the Washington State Patrol conducted its investigation.
WSP Trooper Keith Leary said alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
