BURIEN, Wash. -- One man has been killed and another seriously injured after a Burien bar brawl ended in multiple stabbings. King County deputies are now searching for the suspect.

The fight reportedly broke out at 1:40 a.m. Thursday around closing time at Goodtime Ernie's Sports Bar and Grill, located in the 15000 block of Ambaum Blvd.  The fight involved several people inside the bar and spilled to the parking lot, where the stabbings took place.

A Burien man, 25, died at the scene, despite CPR efforts by Burien Police and fire personnel. Another Burien man, 24, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. That man is expected to survive. The two men are brothers.

Sheriff's detectives interviewed bar patrons and witnesses, but no one was arrested.  What prompted the fight is unknown.

I agree why hasn't there been any update? In reading other blogs on this murder, there was a description given - it was tall thin hispanic man with a pony tail. Burien has had very few murders and I can't understand why this is not being treated with any sense of urgency. If this had been a cop, they woudl hav ebeen all over this!

Why hasn't there been any updates on this? Considering all the coverage it first got, you would think, at the very least, an update is in order. It seems it is being passed off as "another bar fight" and isn't worth the time It is much more than that, This was a MURDER!!!, a persons life was taken, and another seriously hurt. A big part of the community, many friends and all family members are crushed at this sensless act of violence. For all we know, there is someone still walking around with no regard for others lives. I am sure the cops have more information by now. They do have a suspect, why hasn't a photo been released for the public? We could be passing this person on the street & have no clue they are wanted. The public is great about helping, they just have to have information. Please give the community some relief.

Not sure if you heard the new idea state rep Sam Hunt has but you should probably just let this guy go because were not tough on crime anymore. He wants to close prisons and get rid of probation which would let criminals out unsupervised. People like this that should be behind bars for breaking the laws and violating other peoples rights. Maybe we should cut Sam Hunt and use that his pay check to lock this guy up.

I was thinking about gun bans today, and my logic went like this: If making guns illegal will stop crime, why hasn't making crime illegal had any effect?

I could not agree more. If someone want to hurt someone else, they are going to do it with something, gun, knife.... What happens when someone gets badly hurt with a barstool, will we all be sitting on the floor? You can't legislate good sense. HK

They don't need to outright ban knives. According to the mayor of Seattle's logic, all they need to do is put up a sign that no knives are allowed in the bar and it will solve all knife related problems.

Hmmm, guess they need to ban all knives.....or at least have a 7 day waiting period. Yeah...that'll keep the knives out of the hands of all criminals! :-)
