Parents are increasingly 'redshirting' their kindergartners, hoping to improve their chances of success. In Washington, a child is considered ready for kindergarten if he is 5 years old by August 31. However, redshirting is common for children born in late spring or summer. ParentMap education coach Anoo Padte shares whether holding your child back is a good idea.
