An Army sergeant has been charged in an August 25 homicide at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Sgt. Robert S. Chiaravallotti, 41, is charged with murder, rape of a child and assault of a child, The News Tribune reports.
The charges reportedly allege Chiaravallotti fatally stabbed a woman and raped and stabbed a child under age 16, but do not go into detail about what happened.
A pretrial hearing is set for December.
