Andy Ryan, Media Relations Coordinator for Seattle Public Utilities says the drain is an exception to the "only rain down the drain" rule because it flows to a sewage treatment plant, not into Puget Sound. Ryan says signs will be posted on site to let the public know the Pine-Sol solution is going to a "salmon friendly facility."
