Kimberly Van Sickle loves her Seahawks.
"This is the best Seahawks team I've ever seen play and I think that it's just, they're doing so good!" said Van Sickle.
A couple of weeks ago, the Seahawks honored the 1983 playoff team. Van Sickle was only three at the time, but she has fond memories.
"I was a little girl and I remember my parents screaming and yelling and rooting for the Seahawks," remembered Van Sickle.
The '83 Hawks were giving autographs before the Tampa Bay game. Kimberly bought a $100 commemorative football at CenturyLink and got in line to get the autographs.
"I asked the guy in line if there was a separate line for people that had actually purchased the ball and he said no," explained Van Sickle. "They were only signing for an hour. I got in line, I waited an hour. When I got up to where I could see the players, I was the first person in line that they said couldn't get their autograph becacuse they stopped signing."
What Kim wanted more than anything were autographs from her heroes.
"I have a Seahawks memorabilia collection and that was hopefully what my ball was going to go to. I met Steve Largent. It was just a dream of mine. It's a dream of mine to meet Jim Zorn and to meet Dave Kreig," said Van Sickle.
But that didn't happen for Kimberly at the game. She ended up getting a few autographs, but not the ones she truly treasured. So she called me and I got a hold of the Seahawks. They decided to make this single-mom's dreams come true. And this became one of my favorite handoffs ever when I was able to give Van Sickle a new ball complete with all the autographs of her Seahawks heroes.
"Thank you, thank you very much. I really appreciate. I really do!" exclaimed Van Sickle.
