LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rihanna (ree-AH'-nah) says dealing with the media attention after ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's assault was humiliating, but she now hopes to speak for young women who are afraid to speak openly about domestic violence.

The pop star told Glamour magazine in an interview posted online Tuesday that the police photo of her bruised face that was leaked to reporters added insult to injury.

The 21-year-old says she felt disappointed and taken advantage of, especially when she heard that the two police officers under investigation for the leak are women.

She says domestic violence is a "big secret" that women hide, fearing embarrassment. But she hopes to speak for younger women, whose voices aren't often heard.

I'm sorry but the big secret is that men are victims of domestic violence over 50% of the time, however, this the "Big Secret" because women can't hurt men. Read the latest study from the US goverment on domestic violence, 58% of all victims of domestic violence said that it came at the hands of a women. No one deserves or should expect to hurt in any way by any person, but in the last 5 years there has been many studies and surveys that clearly show that women not men are more likely to act out in some sort of violent way. So people need to quit drinking the Kool-aid of special interest groups and realize that its not ok to throw and brake dishes and lamps, who has not experiance that?
