The Washington state Supreme Court ruled this year that the state was not fully funding a basic education for its students. Included in that ruling was a mandate that the state legislature provide updates as to how it would be developing a sustainable system for funding the education system.
A bi-partisan committee submitted the first of those reports to the court Monday.
State Representative Jamie Pedersen, D-Seattle, a member of that bi-partisan committee, appeared on KING 5 Morning News to explain what is included in that report and the state of Washington's education funding dilemma.
