‘Tis the season for Christmas lights, and we see a lot of them in our area. There are several events around Seattle this weekend featuring light displays to get you in the holiday spirit. Lynn Jacobson, Features Editor of The Seattle Times, shares some of the highlights.

Green Lake Pathway of Lights

Starting at 5:00 Saturday night, Green Lake will be illuminated with an elaborate light display. The event also features live music and performances.

Garden d’Lights

The Garden d’Lights festival turns the Bellevue Botanical Garden into a winter wonderland each December. Over 500,000 lights are used in the display, which is open 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day.

Wild Lights

Returning for a second year, Wild Lights brings the holiday spirit to Woodland Park Zoo. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, and children under 12 get in free.

Clam Lights

The 20th Annual Ivar’s Clam Lights features entertainment, music and visual effects. The event runs nightly in December at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.

Christmas Ships

Every year since 1949, the Argosy Christmas Ship has sailed to over 45 different waterfront communities during the holiday season.
