Eastside lovers of classical music have been going through withdrawal symptoms since the Bellevue Philharmonic folded in 2011. But now the Sammamish Symphony, a community orchestra led by R. Joseph Scott, has started presenting concerts at Meydenbauer Center to fill the void. 2 p.m. Sunday, Theatre at Meydenbauer.
Right when school districts go on spring break, Seattle Center steps in with the annual spring festival for kids, featuring giant inflatable bouncers, balloon artists, face painters, performances and more. Suitable for kids 12 and under, April 6 to 21 at the Armory.
