PORTLAND -- A pet store in north Portland was the scene of an emotional reunion when a mother and daughter got their cat back years after he vanished.
Jenny Miller and her daughter greeted "Timmy" with big hugs and kisses. Years ago, someone spotted Timmy in Portland, thought he was a stray, and took him home to Montana.
Years passed before a veterinarian noticed Timmy had a microchip.
Timmy’s real owners were notified, which led to Saturday's reunion.
A woman who happened to be coming to Portland for a wedding drove Timmy to town. Jenny said the cat is settling in at home.
