Taste of Tacoma this weekend

Over 40 restaurants and food booths will be set up this weekend for Taste of Tacoma. Admission is free and runs Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There will also be an interactive cooking show called "The Taste Cooks" where Tacoma's best chefs will display their skills and expertise in front of a live audience.

Other features of this year’s Taste:

  • Six entertainment stages
  • A comedy club
  • Beer and wine gardens
  • A carnival
  • Over 50 hand-crafted artisan booths

Guests are encouraged to park and ride the free Taste Shuttle which leaves Tacoma Community College from the Transit Center and travels directly to Point Defiance Park. Parking at TCC is free. The shuttle will operate Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
