Irish Week features over a dozen events celebrating everything Irish in Seattle and Washington state.

The celebration is presented by the Irish Heritage Club in Seattle. The city's Irish Festival and St. Patrick's Day Celebration have consistently been recognized among the top 10 St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the U.S.

Here are some of the events going on around the city:

Friday, March 15
10 a.m. St. Patrick's Day Mass For Peace, Plymouth Congregational Church, 6th and University Seattle (Catholic Archbishop of Seattle, Most Reverend J. Peter Sartain is the presider. FREE
12 Noon Mayor's Proclamation Luncheon at FX McRory's in Pioneer Square
7 p.m. Laying O' The Green - Revelers will paint a green stripe along Fourth Ave. marking Saturday's Parade Rout (King County Admin. Building to Westlake Park) FREE

Saturday, March 16
8:30 a.m. Four-mile frun from from T.S. McHugh's near the Seattle Center (Must register in advance at www.stpatsdash.com)
12 - 6 p.m.Irish Festival at the Seattle Center Armory - FREE
Irish Music, Irish Dancers Celtic Bands, Irish Crafts and Arts, Genealogy and History Experts
12:20 p.m. Seattle's 41st Annual St. Patricks Day Parade (1 Mile Along Fourth Ave. from King County Administration Building to Westlake Park)
Begins with the raising of the Irish and U.S. Flags and playing of both nations National Anthems. Parade includes some 2,000 marchers with 60 marching groups including Seattle Police Pipes and Drums, Irish Dancers an Irish Wolfhounds group, Seafair Pirates and Clowns and marching bands and bagpipe groups from around the region.
5:30 p.m. Irish Community St. Patrick's Day Happy Hour - Harbor Club in the Norton Building 801 2nd Ave. Seattle
7:30 p.m. 71st Annual Society of the Friends of St. Patrick Dinner, Harbor Club in the Norton Building 801 2nd Ave. Seattle (Raises money for education programs)

Sunday, March 17
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Irish Festival at Seattle Center (Armory) FREE

St. Paddy's is just around the corner! It's on Sunday this year so let¹s start early on Friday! We'll start with live music by Kevin McCormack Friday and Sat @ 5:30 p.m.. Saturday the Stout Pounders will be here at 9:30 p.m.!

Sunday the music starts at 10 a.m. with Kevin McCormack, noon with The Onlies, 2pm is Carrigaline, 4 p.m. we have Belefire Irish Dancers, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Eric McNamee, 7-9 p.m. Kevin McCormack, and 9:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. with Talamh Arsa. Come find the Irish in you at an authentic Irish Pub!
