As part of his "Get Fit" journey, Rich Marriott learned how to use nature for his workout. Today he's back to share strength training exercises you can do. All you need is a few logs, some stairs, and a bench.
First, Rich uses the log as part of a squat press with a calf raise. This helps engage numerous muscle groups in one exercise. Then he holds the log overhead as he runs up stairs.
Next, a picnic table bench is used for tricep dips and modified pushups. The REI trainers working with Rich say the most important thing to remember is to breathe through each exercise. Don't hold your breath while doing a push-up.
