The mail has important meaning to the special retirees that live in Nalcrest, a community in central Florida.

As Lewis Turner reports, everyone who lives there has one thing in common: they've all worked for the U.S. Postal Service as letter carriers.

Richard Gallagher moved to Nalcrest a year ago after a life of delivering mail.

"It's almost like a brotherhood, you might say," Gallagher said.

Rent costs less than $500 a month. There's a post office, but there isn't door-to-door mail service -- retirees have hung up their mail bags after years of work.

Dogs are not allowed.

Any retired letter carrier can apply online to move to Nalcrest. It's about 70 miles east of Tampa, Florida.
