Thursdays have a special meaning at Northwest Harvest's Cherry Street food bank. Every Thursday is "Baby Day" -- where families with children 5 years old and younger can come pick up essential items.
Parents can pick-up pricey items like diapers and formula. Baby Day volunteers also make blankets for the cold weather months.
Director Michael Regis said the food bank would be nothing without donations and volunteers. "while it's gotten better for some in our line of work, we're still seeing a lot of people hurting."
"I'm really thankful for their help, without it we can't survive." Mom Thuy has used the food bank and also volunteers, so she can give back to an organization that's helped so many.
