A female pilot with a name everyone recognizes plans to retrace the flight of her famous namesake.
Amelia Earhart is a pilot and traffic reporter for the NBC station in Denver. She announced she is going to complete the flight the first Amelia could not.
This Amelia started flying at 18 and quickly realized her dream was to fly around the world.
"Growing up as a child it was really difficult to have this name, and I didn't really know what to do with it...because there is a lot of responsbility always having to talk about Amelia...talk about flight," Earhart said. "I didn't really know what to say."
Amelia expects to fly around the world in just over two weeks, making 14 stops along the way.
