Metro bus passenger shot, critically injured in Renton

One man was critically injured in Metro bus shooting in Renton.

RENTON – A 27-year-old man was critically injured after he was shot on a Metro bus Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened near Talbot Road and South 21st Street about 4:30 p.m.

Witnesses said the the victim and suspect were talking on the bus when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim at least once. The suspect walked to the front of the bus, pointed his gun at the driver and told him to stop the bus. The suspect fled on foot.

The victim is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.

The suspect is in police custody.

It is not known if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
